Browsing and votes

We use browser cookies to remember votes, prevent duplicate interactions and keep administrator sessions secure. Optional email confirmation gives your votes more weight and can be remembered on this browser for up to 180 days. Your email address and voting identity are not displayed publicly. Confirming an email does not verify your profession.

Company-profile visits use a separate 30-day browser cookie and a daily anonymous-looking identifier to count one visit per company per browser per day. These identifiers are pseudonymous, not proof of a unique person. Visit records are retained in a rolling 30-day window and older records are cleared when new visits are recorded.

Submissions and AI review

Company information you submit may be reviewed, edited and published in the directory. Personal references, submission notes and contact details supplied for review are kept in the private moderation workflow. Do not submit confidential information or someone else’s private contact details without permission.

AI may research public company information and publish supported fields. Private submission notes, personal references and hiring contacts are excluded from AI research prompts. Administrators can correct or remove listings; use the report control on a fact to flag an error.

Email and your choices

Email confirmation is optional. We store an internal authentication record to verify email ownership; this does not grant admin access. Newsletter consent is separate and optional. Newsletter delivery is not currently enabled.

The footer’s “Forget this browser & stop newsletters” control revokes this browser’s voting confirmation and withdraws newsletter consent. It does not erase historical votes or your internal authentication record. Clearing browser cookies also removes local recognition.

Service providers and retention

Vercel hosts the site and provides the AI gateway; Supabase stores directory and authentication data; Resend delivers confirmation emails; Cloudflare Turnstile checks for automated abuse. These services process technical information needed to operate and secure the site, including network information. Embedded videos and external websites have their own privacy practices.

Company records, submissions, review history, votes and authentication records do not currently have an automatic deletion schedule. They are retained to operate the directory and its audit history, subject to manual review and removal requests. Private backups may retain earlier copies. We do not publish contributor email addresses or private moderation records.
